In 1990, I joined the United States Army, and over the next 13 years I served with the Army Special Forces (green beret) as a weapons specialist. I trained, qualified and became a trainer for almost every man portable weapons system produced in the world. As a trainer for the U.S. Army, I trained military personnel in countries all over the world. After the military, I became a private security co-ordinator for the state of Utah, along with providing security services to high profile persons during their visits to Utah. Currently, along with running CWT and teaching classes, I work for the safety/security and operations section for HCA hospitals. I am also a Homeland Security's first responder/receiver as a HAZMAT decon engineer, and a certified instructor for the Utah Department of Natural Resorces.
I served for more than 9 years keeping apache helicopters in the air and their pilots safe for the U.S. Army. As a civilian, I became a instructor for Salt Lake Community Collage, teaching EMT courses; and a client contact supervisor for Burns Security Services. I now teach for CWT and the Utah Department of Natural Resources. For my main income I work for St. Marks Hospital in the maintenance shop and on the HAZMAT team.
Matt Summers, Instructor
Unarmed Self Defense Program Director
I teach the E.N.D. System for unarmed self defense for CWT. I also train and compete in the Ultimate Fighting competition. I provide security services for several businesses and private people to support my unique lifestyle.
I developed the E.N.D. System after years of training under many fighting and martial arts styles. The system is an all encompassing style of self defense, covering from a single obnoxious person to multiple armed assailants. I have taught the system to average citizens, security officers, hospital personnel and even soldiers of the elite Army Special Forces. The basics of the system can be taught in a little as a few hours or the full system can be taken as a multi-stage course. I published the system as a book with a companion DVD that is available with any class or can be purchased separately. As an added bonus, the course can be taken as a great workout or exercise routine to build muscle mass, definition, speed and dexterity.
Nate Summers, Instructor
As an instructor for CWT, I mainly teach unarmed self defense classes. The E.N.D. System allows me to design training for any situation per our customer needs. Whether that be a few hour course covering the basics of protecting ones self or the several classes required to gain the systems finer techniques. With the E.ND. System and my knowledge as a blade smith, I am experienced in almost all facets of self defense.

As a military wife, being alone for long periods of time, I found that weapon and self defense training is not only helpful but a requirement in today’s world; more-so now that I have children to protect. I thought with my husband out of the military and home almost every night that my need for this training would have lessened, but in fact it only shows me how much I really needed to know this information. As a substitute teacher, I may be the only person between my students and a potentially harmful situation. The training I have received may allow me to stop a tragedy from occurring in my life or the life of one of my students.
I am truly pleased to help pass this training on to our valued customers. If there is anything I can assist with, please contact me and let me know how I can help.
